Abundant Life Christian Academy (originally Abundant Life School) was founded by Sylvan Hills First Baptist Church and established as a ministry in 1977. The church members over the years have served the needs of the school from teaching, coaching, maintenance, building updates, cleaning, and much more! We are thankful to work together with this school to minister to the families of the Sherwood greater community!
Head of School
Mr. Joshua Townsend brings strong leadership skills, a care for teachers/staff, and an unwavering heart to teach sound and good doctrine. He is committed to presenting a Biblically-faithful worldview as well as bringing direction and vision to our school. He leads a qualified and excellent administration. He is a big supporter of seeing ministry done in our community in unity with our church. The days ahead are bright as God continues to add to our faculty, staff, and student body!
