We believe that Christians at any point in their life should treasure being with the rest of the Body of believers. While we understand that people need to connect with those who are in a similar season of life, it is more important to be connected overall to the local church. The way we do this at Sylvan Hills FBC is through church membership, seeing the regular gathering of fellow members as meaningful, and serving alongside each other as important for spiritual growth.
On Sunday mornings before corporate worship, Mitch Maynard and Colby Schoff lead our College + Young Adults morning Bible study that meets at 9:30 AM.
Throughout each semester we have fellowship opportunities. In the past, we have gone to Central Arkansas Karting Complex, out to eat to Shotgun Dan’s, the home of the Maynards for movie nights, or our yearly Christmas party at a church member’s home.
We currently have college students from University Central Arkansas, Central Baptist College, and ASU-Beebe. We also have individuals who work full-time or who will be headed off to the military. We believe God leads all kinds of people together to commit themselves to His church for their good and His glory!
